    Swiping the MacBook

    If you are using a mouse or a trackpad that has multi-touch enabled then you likely know that doing a two-fingered swipe will scroll the window into the direction that the swipe occurred. But did you know that there is also a four-fingered swipe?     One of the nice little things about Cocktail is that it can hide things. Useful for certain types of projects.     Important Update for Apple TV

    According to an email I just got from Apple: If you’ve installed the Apple TV 3.0 software update, you should immediately update to version 3.0.1. This prevents content from temporarily disappearing until it is resynced. To do so: 1. Reboot your Apple TV (unplug the power cord and plug it back in) 2.     Disable Snapshot Caching in Safari

    OK, last one of the day (sorry, I’ve been a busy beaver). Safari takes a snapshot of websites and uses them as a thumbnail. In rare cases this can cause instability. In order to disable it, set the DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy key in com.apple.Safari.plist to the number 2, as follows: defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy -integer 2
