So my buddy Eli started a blog at http://2ndtier.net and it’s looking good, so I thought I would give him props.  🙂

    Google Chrome Comic Book

I’ve not bothered covering Chrome much on my site because I’m pissy about not having a Mac version of the browser.  But, I do find it amusing that Google made a comic book for it: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/

    phpdoc and POD

When you’re doing documentation for code it helps if the app you’re using to document your code is easy to use and tailored for use with your programming language.  For this purpose Plain Old Documentation, or pod.  Perlpod, one of the more widely used implementations was ported and used to write Programming Perl, with O’Reilly and Higher-Order Perl.  But what if you’re writing code in other languages?  Well, Javadoc is a popular documentation tool for Java.  Then there’s phpDocumentator, is a popular documentation tool for PHP.  All are easy to implement and open source, so give them a whirl if it’s the kind of thing that tickles your fancy.

    Google Adsense

Does it make sense that Google would be forcing you to migrate to a Google account in order to use AdSense?  Don’t get me wrong, I like gmail just as much as the next guy.  But forcing you to switch to a Google account seems a little much to me.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still use AdSense and I’ll still tinker with AdWords in the office.  But I am not happy about the having to use a Google account thing (in case that wasn’t obvious yet)…

    Google AdSense: Reporting

Sure, we want to see how much we’re making overall and break it down.  But could Google give us a little more basic reporting features?  I mean, they’ve got some of the best talent in the world.  A nice little report would kick badonkadonk.

    BabyCenter

www.babycenter.com.  It’s a great site.  Especially when you’re on the road.  Know what the baby should be doing when you’re away that way you’re well primed for some good questions to ask when you call home.  🙂
