The Enterprise iPhone and iPad Administrator’s Guide is now shipping (and rapidly moving up in Amazon’s rankings)! There have also been a couple of sightings in Border’s. Apress also sent out a press release and an email blast regarding the book in the past week. So, feel free to buy it using the link below! 🙂

Time to Read MacTech
Haven’t had much time to read, but now that I have a couple of books completely finished I can sit back and get caught up on my reading. And it is worth mentioning that the very first reading that I’ll do is getting caught up on the articles in MacTech Magazine, which is the only magazine I actually pay for. If you don’t get it yet, you really should check it out:

Status of Books
Recently I have been getting a lot of questions about what the status of some of the projects that I’m working on is. So I figure I’d just post it here and hopefully proactively deal with that. Many of these stem from the fact that a couple of my books were made available on the Apress Alpha site. The Alpha site is meant to provide access to works as they’re in progress and allow a bit of crowdsourcing for an extra layer of tech review (the books are posted to Alpha before they go to tech review). The Enterprise Mac Administrator’s Guide is complete, shipped a couple of months ago…

Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants
I write a lot. There are the meanderings that appear on this site, the writing on the 318 TechJournal, more structured prose that goes into books (sometimes regrettably only slightly more structured), writing for clients, freelance writing, writing for other websites and even a bit of ghost writing here and there. Sometimes the writing is short, sometimes long, but there is a pretty consistent amount of it. The reason is because I enjoy it. Most of my writing is technical in nature. And like many who maybe learn a thing or two on my site I end up sharing tips or tricks from places that I no longer remember where…

Books Redux
The books page had been pulled down for a little while due to some issues I was having embedding images. So I went back to the drawing board and found a way to get a carousel of images. So the page with the books I’ve done is back up and online. Hope you like (and yes, I know they spin too fast, it’s still a little bit of a work in progress).

Advanced iPhone Development
While it’s not one of my books, my publisher does have a new book coming out right now called iPhone Advanced Projects, which I’ve been perusing and must say that I am pretty darn impressed with. In the publishers words: iPhone Advanced Projects, the third book in our project series, takes on the more advanced aspects of iPhone development. The first generation of iPhone applications has hit the App Store, and now it’s time to optimize performance, streamline the user interface, and make every successful iPhone app that much more sophisticated. Paired with Apress’s bestselling Beginning iPhone 3 Development: Exploring the iPhone SDK, you’ll have everything you need to create…

My Web Scripting Book
There’s a book up on Amazon about web scripting that I supposedly wrote. I was asked the other day why this book isn’t available and it’s because it never made it to print. The rough draft was written, the scripts completed with care, but the book itself never saw the light of day, as the publisher seemingly disappeared. That would have been my second book with Paraglyph Press, whose website is also now defunct. You can still purchase other Paraglyph books through O’Reilly.
