To install Eclipse for Mac, first download it from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/?osType=macosx.
Once downloaded, open the eclipse tar file. Move the new folder into your Applications directory and open the Eclipse application.
Run the installer and you will then be able to run Eclipse.
