Tiny Deathstars of Foulness

The third edition of the Enterprise Mac OS X Security book is now available for pre-order on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/148421711X! Screen Shot 2015-10-22 at 10.26.51 AM Another title with Apress, for this edition I welcome Dan O’Donnell as a coauthor and in addition to modernizing everything, added a lot more on FileVault, signing, iCloud and Apple services. I don’t know how long the editorial process for this book will take, but it’s listed on Amazon with a ship date of December 3rd!

Hey Charles, I’m really interested in this along with the Mac Administrator’s Guide which I also noticed was getting a new edition – i have been waiting for new editions so really happy they are both getting updated! Will these be available “over the pond” on the dates specified? One other question i have is within the Security Guide’s description it specifies it covers up to OS X 10.11 but nothing is specified for the Administrator’s Guide. Is this also covering up to OS X 10.11? Many thanks and keep up the great work, Justin 😉

Hey Justin. I’m not sure what the ship date to different locations around the world are. I’ve gotten photos of Apress books in England before they were available in the US before. Most of my editors at Apress are in England, so that was never much of a surprise.

Both books are for 10.11. And now starting on the Server 5 update as well. 🙂

Cool, thanks for the reply and it sounds like I’ll be getting all three! We’re thinking of upgrading our server from 10.9 soon so I’m sure they’ll all come in handy 🙂

          I certainly wouldn’t complain about that! 🙂

Is the Server book through O’Reily?

I think I’ll stick with Take Control for that one, as I really like working with Adam and Tanya (they are seriously the bestest!). But I have a fourth title in development with O’Reilly, so keep an eye out for that one as well! 🙂
